AutoMotor.AI is operated by Viom Global Inc., 8 The Green, Suite 10231, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the AutoMotor.AI website, AI chat, SMS program, phone lines, and related services (the "Services"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and identity: name, email address, phone number, billing address, and shipping address.
- Vehicle information: VIN, year, make, model, trim, mileage, engine, transmission, drivetrain, and the parts you are looking for.
- Uploaded content: photographs and documents you choose to submit (for example a VIN plate photo or an OBD report).
- Communications: AI chat transcripts, SMS and email messages with us, and call recordings where permitted by law and disclosed at the start of the call.
- Payment-related information: handled by our third-party payment processors. We do not store complete payment-card numbers on our own systems when payments are processed through a third-party payment gateway.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, cookie identifiers, and analytics and advertising data as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use information
- Qualifying your request and generating quotes.
- Sourcing parts, contacting suppliers, and coordinating fulfillment and shipping.
- Providing customer service, callbacks, and human specialist review.
- Processing payments, preventing fraud, and verifying identity where needed.
- Storing your request in our customer-relationship-management (CRM) system.
- AI processing of the information you provide, to prepare compatibility guidance and sourcing results.
- Marketing, only where you have consented or as otherwise permitted by law; you can opt out at any time.
- Meeting legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run the Services, with: independent parts suppliers and salvage yards fulfilling your request; freight and parcel carriers; mechanics or installers you ask us to refer; warranty administrators; our CRM, telephony, SMS, analytics, cloud-hosting, and AI-processing providers; and payment processors.
We do not sell your personal information. SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers collected for SMS are not shared with third parties for their own unrelated marketing.
4. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and others with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing.
To exercise any right, email privacy@automotor.ai with your name and the request. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time your state's law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.
5. California notice
For California residents: the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, audio (call recordings where disclosed), and inferences related to your parts request. We collect them for the business purposes listed above and retain them as described below. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right-to-limit notice.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: active requests and orders for the life of the transaction plus any warranty period; records needed for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes for the period required by law; and marketing data until you opt out. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and role-limited credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Services are intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact privacy@automotor.ai and we will delete it.
9. International processing
The Services are operated from the United States and information is processed in the United States. If you access the Services from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; material changes will be posted on this page and, where required, notified to you.
